Participating in the Community

Attend an event
ZANOG runs at least three technical workshops and six evening networking events each year, plus the annual national conference. All events are listed on the events portal.
Present at a regional event
We’re particularly interested in operationally focused talks and case studies (10 to 15 minutes), including but not limited to:
- Network operations and troubleshooting in production environments
- Automation and tooling for day-to-day network operations
- Monitoring, observability, and incident response
- IPv6 deployment, migration, and operational lessons
- Routing operations, BGP hygiene, RPKI, and MANRS
- Security operations and network resilience
- Scaling networks: people, process, and technology
- Lessons learned from outages, migrations, or major changes
We strongly encourage submissions from operators of all sizes — ISPs, enterprises, content networks, and infrastructure providers. Submit your talk through the call for presentations on the events portal.
Volunteer or contribute
The cache project, the mirrors and everything else ZANOG runs is volunteer-driven and community-funded. If you can help with time, hardware, rack space or sponsorship, contact info@nog.net.za.
Please read our Code of Conduct — each ZANOG space is intended to be a safe and productive one.
