Speed Testing
Generally speaking, ZANOG does not advocate the use of “speed testing”. However, certain tools are useful for troubleshooting if understood and used correctly.
Mikrotik “btest” is available on the ZANOG nodes below. The idea is for local networks to be able to do some basic testing of link capacity. The service is offered as is, with no guarantees. The Mikrotik “P5 license” was kindly donated by David Savage of MikrotikSA.
